Docteurs Massad is a rose variety bred by Dominique Massad (France, 2007). It is also known as Masdocma or Doctor Massad.
The rose "Docteurs Massad," sometimes translated as "Doctor Massad," grows to a height of 100–250 cm and can reach a width of up to 80 cm. The flowers are 10–12 cm in diameter, double-petaled, with 50 to 60 petals. The blooms are a gemstone red with golden-yellow undersides, cup-shaped, and emit a medium strawberry fragrance. Each stem produces multiple flowers with wavy edges. The flowers hold up well in rain and sunlight, typically lasting 4–5 days, though some may fade. This variety is known for its fast reblooming ability.
The "Docteurs Massad" shrub grows vigorously with few thorns and can be trained as either a shrub or a climber. Heavy pruning will maintain its shrub form, while light pruning can encourage it to grow as a climber. The leaves are thick, glossy, and highly resistant.
This variety is named after the Massad family doctor.
