The Glad Tidings Rose, also known as “吕贝克红酒” in Chinese, is a rich, vibrant floribunda rose introduced by Tantau Roses in Germany in 1988 under the name “Victoria”. It is also known by several other names, including Lubecker Rotspon, Peter Wessel, TANtide, and Viiniruusu. This rose is celebrated for its deep, velvety colors and exceptional resilience, making it a timeless choice for rose enthusiasts.
The Glad Tidings Rose grows to a height of approximately 90 cm, with blooms reaching up to 10 cm in diameter. Its flowers start with a dark crimson hue, and as they mature, they deepen to an almost blackish-red shade. The blooms feature 20 tightly packed petals, forming a classic cup-shaped, double-flowered structure. Despite its bold appearance, the rose is fragrance-free, focusing on visual impact.
