James Galway was introduced by Austin in the UK in 1985. It is also known as AUScrystal.
The "James Galway" rose grows to a height of 150–180 cm, with flowers measuring 12–14 cm in diameter. The blooms are light pink with wavy petals, featuring a deep pink center that gradually fades to nearly white at the edges. The flowers have a moderate fragrance. This large shrub has elegant, arching branches with very few thorns. Its strong and healthy growth makes it an excellent choice for mixed borders. The flowers are large and densely double-petaled, with a warm pink center that transitions to a pale pink at the edges.
When grown as a climbing rose, "James Galway" can reach up to 2.4 m on a support and up to 3 m against a wall. It is highly disease-resistant and reblooms profusely. It also thrives as a shrub, with tall, arching branches that make it ideal for borders. The plant is robust and highly disease-resistant.
